SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Visa Inc. (NYSE: V)
today announced the appointment of Bill Sheedy as President, North America.
In his new role, Sheedy will oversee Visa Inc.'s relationships with card
issuers, merchants, merchant acquirers and third-party processors in the
United States and Canada. He will report to Hans Morris, President of Visa
Inc.

Tim Wilson, Head of Visa Canada will report to Sheedy.
Sheedy has served as Visa Inc.'s Global Head of Corporate Strategy and
Business Development since October 2007. In this role, he has overseen
strategic and new business initiatives for Visa Inc., including marketplace
intelligence, mergers and acquisition activities, and cross-regional and
cross-functional strategic projects. Prior to that, Sheedy led Visa U.S.A.'s
interchange strategy group and played a leadership role in Visa's recent
reorganization and IPO.
Sheedy joined Visa U.S.A. in May 1993. Prior to joining, Sheedy spent
three years with Ford Motor Company's First Nationwide Bank.
Sheedy holds a B.S. from West Virginia University and an M.B.A. from the
University of Notre Dame.
