Oliver Jenkyn, Group President, Global Markets

Oliver Jenkyn is Visa’s Group President, Global Markets. Mr. Jenkyn is responsible for Visa’s business in the 200+ countries and territories in which it operates around the globe. Visa is organized into five regions (North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America & Caribbean, and Central Europe, Middle East & Africa), each of which is led by a Regional President. These Regional Presidents report into Mr. Jenkyn, as do teams that lead Visa’s global merchant relationships, global client relationships, global digital partnerships, and global deal negotiations.


Mr. Jenkyn has been with Visa for 15 years. Prior to his current role, he was the President of North America, led Visa’s global new businesses (commercial/B2B, government, and Visa Direct), and served as Global Head of Strategy and M&A.


Prior to Visa, Mr. Jenkyn was a Partner at McKinsey & Company in the San Francisco, New York, and London offices, and a leader of the firm's banking practice and global payments practice. Mr. Jenkyn also led McKinsey’s relationship with Visa for several years, playing an integral role in Visa's IPO.


Mr. Jenkyn holds master’s degrees in finance and financial policy from Harvard University and Queen's University, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from McGill University. Mr. Jenkyn serves or has served on a variety of non-profit boards including Tipping Point (a San Francisco nonprofit dedicated to fighting poverty) and the California Academy of Sciences.
